Muse Glimmer 30B is Meta’s August 2026 open-weights agent model: about 29.6B dense parameters under Apache 2.0, built to run an always-on tool-calling loop on a single 24-32 GB GPU. It leads its size class on MCP Atlas (75.5) and offline tool use, but trails Qwen3.6-27B on terminal and desktop automation. The short version: at 7.8/10, it is the strongest model you can point at your own files and let run unattended on one consumer card. It is also a dense model that pays for every parameter on every token, it hallucinates confidently when it does not know (82% in one independent calibration test), and it loses the GUI-control benchmarks to a cheaper rival.
